Who Should I Vote For?

Someone who wants to protect us, and will fight to do so. Someone who is financially savvy and socially responsible.
Someone with a strong military background who is economically conservative.
A liberal who feels a duty to provide citizens with basic human rights, including health care and peace of mind.
A liberal who will fight for equality of woman and people of color and considers both the environment and national security a priority.
An independent-minded person whose voice is a far cry from the traditional partisan pool of candidates.

By punishing them. They're breaking the law, and it's as simple as that.
Not only should we offer current illegal immigrants a chance to become legal citizens, but we should reform our current legal immigration process so that we provide more opportunities for immigrants who wish to become Americans.
Current illegal immigrants shouldn't get licenses, but I think they should be able to participate in Social Security. And definitely, we need stronger borders.
Offer current immigrants the chance to become citizens; meanwhile, we should strengthen our borders to limit illegal immigration.

Churches/private groups should provide welfare - welfare centers should be job centers.
It would work better if we linked payments to completing forty hours of work per week, a welfare-to-work program.
We need to link payments with good parenting or some way of signifying a healthy, successful home.
We need to provide welfare centers with more funding and tax breaks for it to work best.

We need to be tough on crime, and part of that includes reasonable restrictions on guns - but the focus should stay on the criminals.
Focus on the criminals, yes, but every citizen should have the right to own and carry a gun.
Having a handgun - concealed or otherwise - is a Constitutional right and we have no right to take that away. We must protect the Second Amendment.
Gun related violence is related to gun availability - this is why strict gun laws are so important to keeping guns off the streets.
There are social reasons that contribute to gun violence and that is what we need to address.

We cannot rest, and must constantly and consistently work to end global terrorism.
We need to do much more than what we're already doing.
We need to impose tough anti-terrorism laws and encourage our National security, within reason (the Patriot Act is acceptable, but we should limit their wire-tapping efforts).
We.re crossing the line with the Patriot Act. The president should not above the law.
